There is a charge of $5 per round for range fee for the youth. We have 20 and 12 guage shotshells available at half price which has been $5 per box of 25 shells. This may go higher as the cost goes higher. Shotguns, safety glasses, ear protection and coaching are available at no charge.
Scoring
Targets at all events ARE scored to:
-
Qualify youth for 4-H competitions: to attend the 4-H State Shoot, each shooter must be pre-qualified, pre-registered and pre-paid - competitions are not a requirement - participation is.
-
Receive ribbons and premium money* at the Sioux Empire Fair. *Premium money is supported by the 4-H Leaders Association, funded by the annual Fruit Sales fundraiser.
-
Aid coaches to determine how a shooter is progressing
Parent participation is treasured. Shooting sports are generational and running a club for today's youths requires assistance in all areas - set up/tear down, coaching, scoring, etc.
